Where to find the six best golf clubs in Dubai
Great weather, world-class courses and spectacular tournaments make Dubai a top choice for winter sun golf holidays – here’s a lowdown of the best golf clubs
Home to some of the world’s finest courses, Dubai is a stellar choice for winter sun golf breaks. From November to March, temperatures hover in the mid 20s, with a glorious ten hours of sunshine a day.
In colourful contrast to its striking desert location, Dubai’s greens and fairways are renowned for their emerald-coloured turf and spectacular city views, with challenging courses designed by the greats of the game – Sir Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els – to name but three.
These courses are the scene of some of the golf world’s top tournaments, hosted by a city at the very top of its game. Visitors can bask in the luxury of playing on top-class courses all through the winter, when play in chillier climates shudders to a halt because of the weather.
Whether you’re a budding pro or a fair-weather amateur, here’s where to find the best golf in Dubai – and the key golfing tournaments to look out for.
